Announcing the 2016 GSK Prosthodontist Innovator Award Recipient
The ACP Education Foundation is proud to announce the recipient of the 2016 GSK Prosthodontist Innovator Award.
Dr. Fengyuan Zheng is the associate director, assistant professor, of the advanced prosthodontics program at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. He received his DDS in 1999 (Peking University) and his PhD in Oral Biology from the Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 2010. He completed his advanced prosthodontics training at the University of Southern California Ostrow School of Dentistry in 2013. His research, titled The Effect of Angular Misfit on Implant Positional Stability Upon Splinted Multiunit Implant Supported Fixed Prosthesis, investigates dynamics of implant-bone interface under tilting forces.
Sponsored by GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare through an unrestricted educational grant, this research award is intended to sponsor research to advance the understanding of prosthodontics-related biological and/or materials systems, human behavior, cost and care delivery, as well as economic modeling and quality of life investigations.
