2021 Distinguished Service Award: Dr. Steven Sadowsky

The American College of Prosthodontists (ACP) honored Dr. Steven Sadowsky with the 2021 Distinguished Service Award at the Annual Awards Ceremony during the 51st Annual Session of the ACP, held virtually Oct. 26-30, 2021. This award honors individuals who have made significant contributions to the welfare and advancement of the specialty of prosthodontics.

“I was honored to hear that I was the 2021 recipient of the American College of Prosthodontists’ Distinguished Service Award and humbled by the caliber of the past awardees. To be recognized by my peers is both a validation of my professional contributions and a catalyst to do more.” Dr. Sadowsky said, “I want to thank Dr. Stephen I. Hudis, Chair of 2021 Nominating Committee, and 2020-2021 ACP President Dr. Mark C. Hutten for their role in the selection process. It is my hope that I will continue to represent the College well in my scholarly, teaching, and service pursuits.”

Dr. Sadowsky is professor in the Department of Preventive and Restorative Dentistry at the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. He was in full-time private practice limited to prosthodontics for 35 years. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics, and Fellow of the ACP Dr. Sadowsky has also been an active member and held numerous leadership positions in several other dental organizations.
