The American College of Prosthodontists (ACP) honored Dr. Brandon A. James with the Private Practice Prosthodontist Award for the Central Region of the ACP at the 2022 Annual Awards & President’s Dinner held at the 52nd Annual Session of the ACP on Nov. 4 in Austin, TX. This award recognizes private practice prosthodontists who have made outstanding contributions to the advancement of the specialty of prosthodontics, through prosthodontic practice, enhancing the public’s understanding of the role of a private practice prosthodontist in comprehensive oral health care as well as exemplifying collegiality and cross discipline outreach, or exemplary community service.
“Winning any award is always an honor but being the recipient of an award that is backed by the American College of Prosthodontists and one where you are nominated by your peers in your community is the highest level of compliment and comes with a great deal of gratitude.” Dr. James said, “Private practice is hard and delivering high level prosthodontics on a daily basis is hard, but to know that you are surrounded by great people and colleagues, and knowing you have that support system is a very comforting thing. To then be recognized by your peers for what you do, is a very humbling feeling and one that I will never forget.”
Dr. Brandon A. James received his DDS, from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry in 2005. He went on to obtain a certificate in prosthodontics from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Following completion of the program, he moved to the greater Kansas City area and began private practice dedicated to advanced prosthodontics and comprehensive restorative dentistry.
