2022 ACP Distinguished Researcher Award
The American College of Prosthodontists (ACP) honored Dr. Seiichi Yamano with the 2022 Distinguished Researcher Award at the Annual Awards & President’s Dinner held at the 52nd Annual Session of the ACP, on Nov. 4 in Austin, TX. This award honors individuals whose research represents a significant contribution to the literature, teaching, or clinical applications of the specialty of prosthodontics, dentistry, science, and health professions.
“I’m extremely honored and humbled to have been selected for the Distinguished Researcher Award.” Dr. Yamano said, “Receiving this award would not have been possible without the inspiration and support I have received from my mentors and colleagues, for whom I have the deepest respect, and from whom I have derived the strength to challenge myself and perform better at each stage in my career."
Dr. Seiichi Yamano is an Associate Professor of Prosthodontics at New York University College of Dentistry (NYUCD). In addition to teaching prosthodontics, he directs research studies focused on gene delivery for the management of oral cancer pain and bone tissue engineering. Currently, Dr. Yamano is an active member of numerous dental and medical societies and editorial/review boards of many scientific journals.
