2022 ACP International Region Private Practice Prosthodontist Award

The American College of Prosthodontists (ACP) honored Dr. Anne L. Gunderman with the Private Practice Prosthodontist Award for the International Region of the ACP at the 2022 Annual Awards & President’s Dinner held at the 52nd Annual Session of the ACP on Nov. 4 in Austin, TX. This award recognizes private practice prosthodontists who have made outstanding contributions to the advancement of the specialty of prosthodontics, through prosthodontic practice, enhancing the public’s understanding of the role of a private practice prosthodontist in comprehensive oral health care as well as exemplifying collegiality and cross discipline outreach, or exemplary community service. Dr. Gunderman was unable to join us at the ceremony, and Dr. Bouma accepted on her behalf.

“In a nutshell, receiving this award means pride.” Dr. Gunderman said, “Pride in my contributions to my community locally, and in the fulfilment of the goals the College has always encouraged its members to pursue. Thank you to the ACP for choosing me for this distinction.”

Dr. Anne L. Gunderman earned her DDS from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1998. She earned a master’s degree and specialist certificate in prosthodontics from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2001. Following her specialty training, Dr. Gunderman worked as an associate professor in San Antonio and has served at the Dublin Dental Hospital for the postdoctoral prosthodontic program for almost 20 years. She maintains a private practice limited to prosthodontics and implant dentistry at Fitzwilliam Square, Dublin. She is a member of various dental organizations, a Fellow of the ACP, and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics.
