2022 ACP Northeast Region Private Practice Prosthodontists Award

The American College of Prosthodontists (ACP) honored Dr. Joseph J. Milavec with the Private Practice Prosthodontist Award for the Northeast Region of the ACP at the 2022 Annual Awards & President’s Dinner held at the 52nd Annual Session of the ACP on Nov. 4 in Austin, TX. This award recognizes private practice prosthodontists who have made outstanding contributions to the advancement of the specialty of prosthodontics, through prosthodontic practice, enhancing the public’s understanding of the role of a private practice prosthodontist in comprehensive oral health care as well as exemplifying collegiality and cross discipline outreach, or exemplary community service.

“In a word, this means everything to me to receive the Private Practice Prosthodontist Award. I am humbled to be recognized by my colleagues for my efforts in what I have spent a significant portion of my life on, which is the privilege of treating patients.” Dr. Milavec said, “To be selected from a deep pool of distinguished specialists who practice at the highest level is such an honor for which I am so very grateful and could not possibly thank you all enough.”

Dr. Joseph J. Milavec graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with his BS in 1984, the Harvard School of Dental Medicine with is DMD in 1989, the Harvard School of Public Health with his MPH in 1989, and completed his post-Doctoral training in prosthodontics at Harvard in 1992. He has been in private practice in Boston for 33 years and held faculty appointments at Harvard and Boston University Dental Schools.
