2024 ACP Missouri and Kansas Section Meeting Recap
The second joint meeting of the ACP Missouri and Kansas Sections took place on June 8 at the UMKC School of Dentistry. In addition to the officers and members of the sections, attendees included prosthodontists in private practice and academics, as well as general dentists and industry representatives.
This event is intended as an annual event with the vision of bringing together Missouri and Kansas dental professionals and creating a collaborative environment where all can learn and improve to better treat patients.
ACP Missouri Section President Dr. Gustavo Leal opened the session by thanking the sponsors, speakers, and board members for their contributions.
Dr. Steven Haas, Dean of the UMKC School of Dentistry, addressed the participants and welcomed them to UMKC.
Dr. Adam Ostrand, a prosthodontist from St. Louis, presented on “Treatment planning and case design”, as well as “Practice transitions”.
Dr. Joseph Khalil, a prosthodontist from Arlington, VA presented on “Digital Health Scans, Smile Designs, Multidisciplinary co-discovery treatment plans and case presentation.”
Dr. Hanan Ali, a prosthodontist from UMKC in Kansas City, MO presented on “Prosthetic approaches for full mouth rehabilitation.”
ACP President Dr. John Ball provided the attendees with an ACP update and discussed the importance of ACP membership and the future of the organization.
Q&A sessions were available at the end of the sessions. Six continuing education credits were provided.
