A Message from 2022 Region 3 Membership Director Dr. Lisa Lang
"As I look back over the almost 27 years I have been a member of the American College of Prosthodontists, I can say without question that the decision to join the ACP was a good one. As the recognized organization representing our specialty, the ACP has worked tirelessly to improve the lives of its members and of our patients. Whether one is in private practice or dental education there are programs available to help you in your daily lives. The ACP advocates for our specialty at the national and international level."
"One only must look at the website to see all the ways that the ACP impact us as prosthodontists. From information on careers in prosthodontics for those entering the specialty, practice resources, to educational resources (both CE as well as predoctoral and post graduate training), the ACP is there to supports its members. And let’s not forget the networking and leadership opportunities it provides those who wish to be more involved and engaged in the specialty organization."
"The Annual Session and other symposiums the ACP organizes are of the highest quality. As a dental educator, the educator meetings have been extremely valuable. Gathering educators to learn, to collaborate, and to develop educational curriculum specific to prosthodontics is unique to this organization. The networking at ACP events provides a means for us as specialists to stay connected, to identify common concerns, and work to resolve them. Even during the pandemic, the ACP found a way to reach its members and provide quality continuing education."
"I became involved in the organization through membership on the Education and Research Committee. This led to other opportunities to hone my leadership skills. Now, as the Region 3 Membership Director, I can give back, and to connect with prosthodontists throughout my region. The ACP has connected me with wonderful individuals doing great things throughout the Central Region. These are just a few of the reasons why ACP membership is imperative, and we should all get involved."
