ABP Section B, C and D Exam Registration is Open

The American Board of Prosthodontics (ABP) will hold a certification examination Feb. 20-22, 2022 at the Ritz-Carlton, Chicago. Further details will be posted on the ABP website.

All Section B (Parts 2, 3, and 4), Section C, Section D, and Section B/D “Oral Only” examinations will be held at the hotel following the usual, face-to-face exam format. The ABP reserves the right to cancel the examination or limit the examination registration if conditions associated with the COVID-19 pandemic dictate. This is not expected at this time.

Deadline for registration is Dec. 15, 2021. Registrations will be on a first come, first served basis.

To reiterate - All examinations, including Section C examinations, will occur onsite.

The ABP strives to support all candidates seeking certification. For questions about the certifying examination and examination logistics, click here to contact the Chief Professional Officer. Please note that the ABP will not provide guidance regarding specific therapies that must be determined and justified by the candidate prior to and during the examination.

Registration Logistics

For Potential Candidates: Starting the Examination Process 

  • Go to https://abp.roc-p.com/Create-Account.aspx to initiate an account.
  • Students/Residents of an advanced prosthodontics program – upload a letter from your program director indicating you are (1) are in the third year (at least) of training, (2) are in good standing, and (3) expected graduation date for the candidate. 
  • Prosthodontists – upload a notarized copy of your prosthodontic certificate.
  • Wait 2-3 days for document review and validation as a candidate.
  • Register for exams 

For Current Candidates: Continuing the Examination Process

Early Reminder for Section A Registration

Further reminders for Section A are forthcoming. The deadline for Section A registration is Jan. 31, 2022.
