ACP Announces departure of Linda Caradine-Poinsett, CEO
The American College of Prosthodontists (ACP) today announced that Linda Caradine-Poinsett, PhD, MJ, MBA will step down from her role as chief executive officer to pursue an opportunity in the real estate industry in mid-May. ACP’s leadership team, led by 2022 President Dr. Lars Bouma, has engaged a search firm to identify the next CEO. In the interim, Mr. Adam Reshan, Director of Membership Services & Academic Relations and Ms. Carrie Villa, Director of Finance & Administration will serve as co-executive directors until the role is permanently filled.
“Linda believes leadership is about service. Her vision and drive, combined with her tireless commitment to serving the long-term interest of the ACP and its Education Foundation have strengthened both organizations significantly. She leaves a more nimble and robust organization well-placed to succeed in this fast-paced, ever-changing, dynamic dental industry,” said Dr. Bouma.
Caradine-Poinsett began her role with the ACP in Sept. 2016. During her five- and one-half-year tenure she led the transformation of the organization’s headquarters operations by fostering a culture of member-focused approach, teamwork, professional development, inclusivity, and transparency, while nurturing a spirit of staff and volunteer collaboration. Linda led the ACP and the Education Foundation’s strategic plan efforts, strategic initiatives, and the adoption of a shared vision. She also led the quick and seamless transition to an all-virtual environment in 2020 and 2021 for the membership and Central Office, ensuring the IT infrastructure needed for virtual product delivery and remote work.
“It has been a wonderful experience and honor to have served as the chief staff leader of such a dynamic organization. I am extremely proud of the team and the culture that we have created. I am thankful to the ACP and Education Foundation Executive Committees, Boards of Directors, our dedicated membership, industry partners, and Central Office staff,” said Caradine-Poinsett.
ACP expects a smooth transition over the coming months as the organization continues to focus on member needs, education programming, new product development, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
