ACP Launches Prosthodontists Channel on You Tube
The College is taking the good news about prosthodontics directly to consumers with a channel spotlighting prosthodontists on YouTube. Seven videos are featured on the Prosthodontists Channel: three commercials, two videos explaining the specialty, a case study, Kim’s Story and Oral Cancer Screening Exam.
As the video inventory grows, ACP public relations will generate news media and social attention driving viewers to the Prosthodontists Channel. For example, the ACP Facebook site may promote the Prosthodontists Channel on YouTube, and urge members to link to it from their websites and Facebook postings.
“The people who will be watching the Prosthodontists Channel will be Internet savvy. Not only do they email, they also know how to search the web, they buy online and they spend time on YouTube,” said ACP President Jonathan P. Wiens, D.D.S., M.S.D., F.A.C.P. “We want to give viewers a reason to visit the Prosthodontists Channel. All it takes is capturing one, great, prosthodontic moment to become an overnight sensation.”
ACP staff will be shooting original footage during Annual Session to post on the ACP website and the Prosthodontics Channel on YouTube. Reports from Scottsdale will focus on member engagement and feature interviews with members and speakers.
ACP members who have produced videos about their patients and the specialty and are willing to share, please email ldethloff@prosthodontics.org.
