ACP Member Dr. Tammy Chen in The New York Times
ACP member Dr. Tammy Chen wrote this article that was recently published in The New York Times.
In the article, Dr. Chen discusses a phenomenon she has noticed since re-opening her practice amid the coronavirus pandemic – a sharp increase in cracked teeth. “When I reopened my dental practice in early June, the tooth fractures started coming in: at least one a day, every single day that I’ve been in the office,” Dr. Chen explains in the article.
She also discusses some possible causes for this increase in tooth fractures including stress, poor posture, and a lack of restorative sleep.
You can read the full article here. Thank you to Dr. Chen for highlighting the specialty of prosthodontics to a national audience.
