Annual Session Program Highlight: Friday, Nov. 4

The 2022 Annual Session of the ACP, Prosthodontics Reimagined: Thriving in a New Era, is just around the corner in-person in Austin, TX from Nov. 2-5. On Friday, Nov. 4, the day begins with the Annual Session 2023 San Diego preview with the general session immediately following.

The first scientific session of the day is Lessons Learned: Failures and Complications, moderated by William C. Martin, DMD, MS, FACP, with the following presentations:

  • Denture Autopsy: An Analysis of Failed Dentures - Valerie E. McMillan, DDS, MS
  • From Daunting to Doable: Combining Digital and Analog Workflows to Successfully Restore the Most Complex Patient Challenge - Mark Stephen Montana, DDS
  • Digital Workflow Surgical Failures - Luis H. Gonzaga, DDS, MS
  • Root Shield: What Have We Learned Over the Past 12 Years? - Joseph Kan, DDS, MS
  • Mea Culpa: Life on the Bleeding Edge – Turning Failures into Success - Jack J. Marrano, CDT
  • Lessons Learned Roundtable

The afternoon scientific session will be our brand new session style with robust scholarly debates, Point Counterpoint: Prosthodontic Battles, moderated by Lyndon F. Cooper, DDS, PhD, FACP with the following battles:

  • Battle 1, Part 1: The Severely Atrophic Maxilla - Bach T. Le, DDS, MD
  • Battle 1, Part 2: Maxillary Complete Arch Treatment: Grafting vs Graftless - Ole Jensen, DDS, MS
  • Battle 2, Part 1: Creating Our Future: Printed Digital Dentures - Wendy Auclair Clark, DDS, MS
  • Battle 2, Part 2: The Pathway to Digital Dentures - Eric Kukucka

The Exhibit Hall will be open from 7:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. for its final day to explore at your leisure. Additional programming includes the John J. Sharry Research Competition from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., Resident and Dental Student Digital Poster Session from 12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m., the Mentoring Center will be available by appointment, the Resident and New Prosthodontist Reception will be open to all attendees from 5:30-6:30 p.m., and the Annual Awards and President's dinner will begin at 7:00 p.m. You can learn more about each of the sessions, review the full program, and register online today!
