- Review myths and realities of lateral wall and crestal sinus grafting.
- Describe the management of sinus graft complications including large and complete membrane perforations, along with sinus grafting in the presence of pathology.
This clinical based presentation draws on the presenter’s 30-year experience with sinus grafting. It will focus on myths and realities of selection criteria and biology of graft materials, physiology of the sinus membrane, management of large and complete membrane perforations, and grafting in the presence of pathology of both lateral and crestal sinus grafts.
Biography: Dr. Michel A. Pikos, Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon, graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from The Ohio State University. He is founder and CEO of the Pikos Institute. Since 1990, he has been teaching advanced bone and soft tissue grafting courses with alumni that now number more than 4300 from all 50 states and 43 countries. Dr. Pikos maintains a private practice which is limited exclusively to implant surgery in Florida.
