The best way to avoid litigation is to understand how and why dentists get sued. This session will highlight the most litigated complications, existing and emerging standards of care, and how to minimize your risk of becoming a defendant in a malpractice lawsuit.

Biography: Katherine is a Shareholder at Broening, Oberg, Woods & Wilson in Phoenix, AZ. She is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. Katherine is admitted to all Arizona Courts and the United States Supreme Court. Her practice focuses on defending all types of health care practitioners, with the majority of her time spent defending dentists in civil litigation and at the Board of Dental Examiners.
