Digital Synergy: The Ultimate Link Between Surgery and the Final Prosthesis
Conrad J. Rensburg, ND, NHD
Durham, NC
Over the last two decades, technology driven concepts like digital diagnostic design, analog and digital data merging, as well as digital communication have played an integral role in linking the surgeon, restorative clinician, and technician into one very efficient and synergistic team. As these digitally driven workflows continue to evolve, it will strengthen this team even further. This link has lead to less invasive surgeries supported by diagnostically driven conversion prosthetics. This interim device in turn has greatly improved the predictability and efficiency with which these final hybrids are being processed.
At the conclusion of this session, attendees should be able to:
- Demonstrate how restoratively driven planning leads to more esthetic and highly hygienic FP1 style prosthetics.
- Show the restorative importance of an accurately converted, diagnostically driven, surgically converted interim prosthesis.
- Describe how technology has created a true synergy between the surgical, restorative, and technical teams.
