Leveraging the Power of Digital Dentistry to Your Advantage
Mariano Andres Polack, DDS, MS
Gainesville, VA
The digital dental revolution has been around for some time, but it is now a major player in implant dentistry. The conjunction of high-quality scanners, low-cost 3D printers, and open software, places the dental team in a unique position to control all aspects of implant therapy like never before. While digital users are well versed in the traditional workflows these tools offer, the applications are truly only limited by the clinician’s imagination. Digital implant dentistry allows the implant team to modify conventional workflows and improve communication while making treatment more effective and efficient. This exciting and cutting-edge presentation will help dentists incorporate “outside the box” digital techniques using intraoral scanning, 3D printing, guided surgery, and CAD/CAM design to increase productivity, lower cost, improve esthetics, and provide more effective and predictable implant dentistry.
At the conclusion of this session, attendees should be able to:
- Understand how digital technology can improve team communication, preoperative planning, guided surgery and enhance the predictability of the restorative plan.
- Identify digital techniques that will reduce cost and accelerate the completion of clinical cases.
- Learn creative applications for intraoral scanning, free CAD software and 3D printing to optimize the emergence profile and improve esthetics.
