Advances in digital dental technology are changing the way many practitioners approach their workflows, treatments, and business practices. Prosthodontists are poised to lead the use of digital dentistry in clinical practice. This active discussion will feature several prosthodontists in academics and private practice that are leading the revolution in digital dental technology. Audience questions and comments are strongly encouraged.
At the conclusion of this session, attendees should be able to:
- Develop a plan for the implementation of digital technologies and assess the advantages and obstacles.
- Discuss the selection of appropriate technologies, equipment, and training.
- Review the integration of digital technology into any dental practice.
Biography: Dr. Eva Anadioti is an Associate Professor of Clinical Restorative Dentistry at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and the founding and current Director of the Advanced Education Program in Prosthodontics. She received her certificate in prosthodontics and Master’s Degree from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and then completed a surgical implant fellowship at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry. Dr. Anadioti is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics, a Director at the ACP Education Foundation, and the Prosthodontic Commissioner at the Commission on Dental Accreditation. She has publications in peer-reviewed journals and has presented her work at university and professional conferences worldwide.
Biography: Dr. Robert W. Berg received his DMD degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2003. He received his certificate in prosthodontics from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Medical Center in 2007. He currently maintains a full-time private practice limited to prosthodontics in Manhattan, NY.
Biography: Dr. Sundeep Rawal is Senior Vice President, Implant Support Services for Aspen Dental. He has utilized CAD/CAM technologies extensively and has lectured nationally and internationally with over 500+ engagements and published numerous papers in various dental publications. He has held positions with organizations such as the American College of Prosthodontists, Florida Dental Association, and serves on the global advisory board for 3shape and Sprintray. He is a co-founder of the Digital Dentistry Institute.
