Digital Surgery: Surgical-Prosthetic Synergy Utilizing Digital Workflow

This presentation will showcase the use of digital technology in planning and executing surgical aspects of treatment based on prosthetic principles. The use of biologic materials, computer guided surgery, implant positioning, timing of restoration and immediate implant placement will be discussed. Digital surgery from the single tooth to the full-arch will be covered.
At the conclusion of this session, attendees should be able to:
- Assess a site as appropriate for immediate implant placement.
- Recognize the benefits of utilization of digital technology in surgery.
- Define the importance of surgical staging and planning in the execution of complex prosthetic rehabilitations.
Biography: Dr. Bobby Birdi received his dental degree from the University of Saskatchewan and his post-graduate specialty training in both periodontics and prosthodontics from the University of Minnesota. He is a Fellow and former Examiner for the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a Diplomate of both the American Board of Periodontology and the American Board of Prosthodontics. Bobby is the co-founder of the Digital Dentistry Institute and maintains a full-time private practice in multiple centers in Vancouver, Canada.
