Prosthodontic Protocols in The Modern Dental Landscape: Past vs. Present
Joshua Polansky, MDC
Voorhees, NJ

Prosthodontic protocols for the modern dental team include a team approach to navigating the prosthodontics restorative landscape. Modern dentistry is changing at a rapid pace. CAD/CAM, new techniques, and materials are evolving almost daily. While it is crucial to adapt to the times, , it is of utmost importance to have a foundation in prosthodontic protocols to succeed. These foundations will help the dental team adapt to the times in a more productive and predictable fashion. This presentation will discuss updated techniques from full mouth rehabilitations using CAD/CAM, photo protocols with shade-taking, to alternative restorative techniques such as noninvasive veneers. The focus of the presentation is to show how the dental technician and dentist collaborate throughout the entire treatment process to achieve predictable success for the patients.

At the conclusion of this session, attendees should be able to:

  • Determine correct treatment options using digital technology.
  • Identify modern dental materials and their use.
  • Relate how to transfer data digitally to the laboratory.
