Honorary Member of the ADA

P.I. Branemark was awarded honorary membership to the American Dental Association (ADA) by the ADA Board of Trustees for his outstanding contributions to the advancement of the art and science of dentistry. Branemark is among the very few non-dentists who have been bestowed this honor. Branemark earned a medical degree followed by a PhD in anatomy and taught Anatomy at the medical school at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden.
