Lifetime Achievement Award

P.I. Branemark was awarded the lifetime achievement by the Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics (GNYAP) in 2012, two years before his passing. He had previously been awarded the GNYAP Research Award in 1983 for his seminal contributions to the science of osseointegration. Branemark was one of the few non-dental professionals who was given this honor by the GNYAP in its history.
