April 1992, Professor Richard Johns, the Dean of the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom, presented the Honorary Doctor of Science degree to Brånemark. He introduced professor Brånemark with the oration (left side of document), beginning with a quote from George Bernard Shaw's play The Doctor's Dilemma, stating "The reasonable man adapts himself to the world: the Unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself." Professor Johns concludes in his oration that P.I. Brånemark was indeed the "UNREASONABLE ONE."
