Drive for a Million Fundraising Update and Leadership
At the end of August, the ACPEF announced the Drive for a Million, an ambitious effort to raise a million dollars through 5-year pledges. The response from ACP members whom the Drive committee has spoken with to date has been tremendous. The community is answering the call to sustain and protect the three core programs of the ACPEF - resident support, research awards, and resources for private clinicians.
After the National Steering Committee was in place, they invited many more volunteers to help lead this effort. This group of a total of 23 volunteer leaders, comprised of educators, residents, private practitioners, and past presidents, has been instrumental in advocating support of the ACPEF. To date, thanks to their efforts and the generous response of members, the ACPEF is proud to announce that a total of $873,635 has been pledged toward the million dollar goal. Thanks to the supporters to date that have made this progress possible.
