Journal of Prosthodontics Names New Associate Editor-in-Chief
Dr. Radi Masri, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Prosthodontics (JoP), and the ACP Board of Directors are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Sharon Siegel as the Associate Editor-in-Chief (EIC) of the JoP.
Dr. Siegel is the chair of the Prosthodontics Department at Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine. She has been the JoP's Clinical Reports Section Editor since 2006, and has served on several ACP committees. Dr. Masri notes her experience, enthusiasm, and institutional knowledge as great assets for the JoP.
Dr. Siegel's primary role as Associate EIC will be to assist on special projects, including the writing workshop at this year's Annual Session, curating virtual issues, and overseeing JoP continuing education activities. Dr. Siegel will also assist in managing changes to the Journal's production and review process. Soon, the JoP will implement "accepted articles online," wherein articles will be placed online within a week of acceptance, to later be replaced with the typeset and proofread "article of record."
"I am so excited to serve in the role of Associate Editor-in-Chief for the journal that I have so much passion for and have loved so much!" says Dr. Siegel. "I look forward to collaboration with Dr. Masri, Alethea Gerding, the Editorial Board, and of course all of our readership. Thank you so much for this opportunity."
