Prosthodontists and dental implants were spotlighted in an Associated Press article that appeared in several national publications, including The New York Times, The Washington Post, and ABC News.
The article looks at the importance of seeking qualified care for dental implants and highlights prosthodontics as one of three specialties that has expertise in the placement of implants.
"It's probably the greatest thing that's happened to dentistry since fluoride came to the water," says Dr. Carl Driscoll, former president of the American College of Prosthodontists, the specialty providing artificial tooth replacement.
