New Assistant Editors Appointed to Journal of Prosthodontics

Dr. Radi Masri, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Prosthodontics (JoP) is pleased to announce the appointment of five new Assistant Editors to the Journal of Prosthodontics Editorial Board.

Dr. Herman Dumbrigue has been a member of the JoP’s Editorial Review Board since 2006. A Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics, Dr. Dumbrigue is a past recipient of the John J. Sharry Research Award and the Judson Hickey Scientific Writing Award. He is currently in private practice in Plano, Texas and is also a Clinical Associate Professor at the Texas A & M University College of Dentistry, Graduate Prosthodontics Program.

Dr. Muhanad Hatamleh is a long-time JoP reviewer and author. A senior clinical maxillofacial prosthodontist at King’s College Hospital in London, Dr. Hatamleh is a fellow with the Academy of Dental Materials and active researcher in maxillofacial materials properties and bonding, maxillofacial prostheses design and construction, and 3D technology integration. He has published more than 40 papers in peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. Alireza Moshaverinia is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and a tenure track assistant professor at the UCLA School of Dentistry, Division of Advanced Prosthodontics. He was the 2013 and 2015 recipient of the GSK Prosthodontist Innovator Award granted by the ACP. Dr. Moshaverinia is also the recipient of the John J. Sharry Research Award in 2012 and the 2018 IADR Young Investigator Award. He has published more than 70 papers in peer-reviewed journals on dental materials, implant dentistry, and stem cell mediated tissue engineering. Dr. Moshaverinia directs NIH funded research projects dedicated to studying basic mechanisms to regulate stem cell-mediated bone and tissue regeneration and the role of biomaterials.

Dr. Caroline T. Nguyen, the ACP’s Region 7 Membership Director and a former chair of the Annual Session poster committee, is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and an assistant professor at the University of British Columbia. Her research interests include cancer patient treatment and rehabilitation outcomes and oral side effects of treatments and medications in cancer patients and the elderly.

Dr. Faleh Tamimi is an Assistant Professor at the McGill University Faculty of Dentistry who holds two clinical certificates, in Geriatric Dentistry and in Implant Prosthodontics, as well as a PhD in Biomaterials. He is also a Canada Research Chair in Translational Craniofacial Research. Dr. Tamimi’s research interests are in finding solutions to relevant clinical problems through the development and application of new biomaterials and pharmacological treatments.

The new editors will be joining an excellent team of current editors: Dr. Hugh Devlin, Dr. Carl Drago, Dr. Zvi Loewy, Dr. Brad Morris, Dr. Galen Schneider, and Dr. Hai Zhang, With an expanded team of editors, the JoP aims to make the review process even faster and more efficient.
