News from the Journal of Prosthodontics: Assistant Editor Named
Dr. Radi Masri, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Prosthodontics, the official journal of the ACP, is pleased to announce the appointment of Sompop Bencharit, DDS, MS, PhD, FACP as an Assistant Editor of the Journal of Prosthodontics.
Dr. Bencharit is an Associate Professor and the Director of Digital Dentistry Technologies at the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Dentistry and College of Engineering. He received his DDS and Diploma in Prosthodontics from Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. Dr. Bencharit earned his Certificate and Master's Degree in Prosthodontics, a PhD in Oral Biology, and a Certificate in Clinical Research from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC). He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists.
His current research interests are guided implant surgery, 3D printing, and salivary proteomics. He has numerous publications (over 50 peer reviewed articles) in prosthodontics, implant dentistry, salivary biomarkers, as well as protein structural biology. He is also an Academic Editor for PLoS ONE and Scientific Editorial Board Member for Scientific Reports.
