John J. Sharry Competition: Call for Applications

The ACP Education Foundation is proud to support the 2019 John J. Sharry Prosthodontic Research Competition, which will be held on Friday, Nov. 1 at the ACP Annual Session in Miami.

The competition is held to stimulate and acknowledge original research in prosthodontics by residents/students.

The ACP Research Committee and Dr. Galen Schneider, Chair, strongly encourage all programs to participate in this competition. Please read the submission guidelines carefully. Abstracts are due by May 31.

Eligibility: Individuals are eligible if they are currently enrolled in a postdoctoral prosthodontic program or have completed such a program in the last three years; and are a member, in good standing, of the American College of Prosthodontists. Manuscripts must not have been previously accepted for publication and are eligible for publication in the Journal of Prosthodontics.

Abstract Submission: Abstracts must be submitted by May 31 to the ACP Education Foundation as email attachments in PDF format, following the submission guidelines.

Finalists: The six selected finalists will receive one-night hotel stay up to $300 and U.S. domestic airfare (booked 30 days in advance) up to $600 to present their research at the ACP Annual Session. Cash awards of $1250 for 1st place, $750 for 2nd place, and $500 for 3rd place will be presented.
