The 2025 National Prosthodontic Residents Exam is Underway
We are pleased to announce that the 2025 National Prosthodontic Resident Examination (NPRE) is now live! Examination links have been emailed to all program directors. Residents will have until Feb. 24, 2025 to complete this assessment.
The NPRE is a comprehensive assessment designed to evaluate residents’ knowledge and clinical reasoning across the full scope of prosthodontics. Covering areas such as fixed, removable, and implant prosthodontics, maxillofacial prosthetics, and contemporary dental materials, the exam ensures that residents are well-prepared to meet the rigorous demands of our specialty. It not only serves as a benchmark for their progress but also as a valuable preparation tool for board certification.
We extend our best wishes to all residents participating this year. Your dedication and commitment to excellence in prosthodontics are evident in the effort you’ve put into your training thus far. We are confident that you will rise to the challenge and represent your programs with distinction.
This exam would not be possible without the tireless work of the National Prosthodontic Resident Examination Subcommittee. We extend our heartfelt thanks to this dedicated group of educators and practitioners. Their commitment to advancing prosthodontic education is inspiring—they have met weekly, often after long days of teaching and patient care, to meticulously craft an exam that is fair, comprehensive, and reflective of the standards of our specialty.
If you or your residents have any questions regarding the exam, please do not reach out to us via email.
Thank you for your support in making this a successful experience for all.
